Sustee Aqua meter is the world’s first aqua meter for houseplants or any potted plants that help to monitor soil moisture based on pF values.
The pF value indicates the strength of a plant to suck up water from the soil.
Sustee Aqua meter indicates the optimum timing for watering a plant with color change, based on the available water capacity in soil.
Available water capacity corresponds to the pF value range from approx. 1.7 – 2.3.
Sustee Aquameter gradually turns whitish from about pF 2.0, the median value of the available water capacity, and turns completely white at about pF 2.3. In general, a plant needs to be watered before it starts to wilt. (Watch video below for more illustration)
- The core material is 100% natural fibers, breaking down by bacteria in the soil. Estimated life of the middle core is about 6-9 months on organic soil, about 9-12 months on inorganic soil, and hydroculture, and bark are about 1-2 years
- If the core material has reached its life, it can be replaced with a separate refill
