Information	Description
Common name and scientific name	Mastali Green, Elephant Bush, Dwarf Jade, Miniature Jade, Spekboom, Elephant Food (Portulacaria afra)
Growth habit and size	Evergreen succulent shrub growing up to 4-5m tall in the wild, but up to 150-180cm in a garden cultivation.
Foliage, flower color, and texture	Small, fleshy, rounded green leaves densely clustered near the crimson stems in opposite leaf arrangement.
Pot Size	Ø15cm x H11cm
Overall Height	20 - 30cm from the base of the pot.
Sunlight requirements	Grows best in bright indirect sunlight or semi-shade. Mature plant thrives under full sun.
Watering needs	Drought tolerant. Water only when the soil turns completely dry, allowing excess water to drain out of the pot.
Soil type and pH requirements	Prefers a dry, well-drained soil to light sandy-stony soil that is acidic to alkaline with a pH range from 5.5 to 7.5
Feeding and fertilizer needs	Feed with diluted liquid fertilizer once a month to encourage new growth.
Pruning requirements	Trim the dried, overgrown, yellowish leaves by using a pair of secateurs at least once a month.
