Pumpkin ‘Amazonka’ sets small, compact, round, and slightly flattened fruits, each weighing 1-1.5kg.
Turns from bright yellow to deep orange color when matured, containing an especially high amount of beta-carotene.
The flesh inside is yellow, soft, very sweet, rich flavoured. Fantastic for soups, baked, stir-fried, added to stews or pastries.
Excellent for growing in small spaces.

TO GROW
Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil, rich in organic
matter.
Sowing
Depth: 1.5in (4cm) deep.
Spacing: 4-8ft (1-2m) apart
Light: Direct sun.
Watering: Water regularly to keep the soil moist. Keep the
foliage and fruit dry when watering to avoid rotting.
Fertilizing: Pumpkins are heavy feeders, regular application of manure or compost mixed with water will enhance the growth.
Apply fertilizer on a regular basis. Use a high Nitrogen formula in early plant growth.
Switch over
to a fertilizer high in Phosphorus just before the blooming period.
