Common name and scientific name	Carpet Grass (Zoysia matrella (L.) Merr.)
Growth habit and size	Low, rhizomatous, perennial grass with uniform thickness (1.5 - 2 inches)
Attributes	Carpet grass is freshly mowed for each order. Good underground growth with plenty of white roots presents, no stone, good layer of soil. Uniform color, fine texture, and greater grass density.
Measurement	5ft x 1ft (per roll)
Sunlight requirements	Grows better in full sun or area that receive at least 5-6 hrs of direct sunlight daily.
Watering needs	Water deeply to encourage stronger root development.
Soil type and pH requirements	Prefers sandy soil with slightly acidic soil pH between 6.0-6.5.
Feeding and fertilizer needs	Feed with lawn fertilizer once a month to encourage lush and healthy growth.
Mowing requirements	Remove weeds, thatch and moss to provide good air circulation that help to avoid fungal disease. Mow grass to 2 inches with a mower or trimmer every 10 to 14 days or before grass grows taller than 2½ inches.
