Growth habit and size |
Phalaenopsis orchids are monopodial, and they grow upwards until they reach a certain height. It can be grown on a tree by anchoring its root on a tree bark (epiphyte) or on a rock. For growing indoors, Phalaenopsis orchids grow in a pot, container or planter. |
Foliage, flower color, and texture |
The oval, shiny, succulent green foliage grows alternately on the sides of the stem. Produces large, elegant flowers that are generally long-lasting, and they come in a myriad of colors with spots and stripe combinations. |
